After 4 months, I have another chance to share my experiences of the Stena Metall Diversity and Competence Program. Initially, we all took part in an introduction course. It was very helpful to learn more about how Stena Metall works as a company. I found out about Stena's business, its core values, and learned about safety, the Group’s principles, and the different systems it uses. I enjoyed the parts about the code of conduct, sustainability and safety. I have used this information many times while working in the purchasing department.
During a company visit for Mitt Livs Chans mentee at Microsoft Sweden head office, we sat down with Veronica Stjärnfelt, Senior Service Delivery Manager at Microsoft and Yiyuan Xu. Both were participants in Mitt Livs Chans mentorship programme spring 2018. Mitt Liv matched the two together as mentor and mentee pair based on their interest in digitalization.
" I think Mitt Liv made an excellent match. I enjoyed so much working together with Yiyuan in the programme. She's quick to learn, look at the details and always follows- up. But what I really like about Yiyuan is that she's also humble, sweet and most of all curious. And we both love Netflix," says Veronica.
Last week Mitt Liv participated in Hello Europe’s EU Migration Policy Conference. Policy makers, local and national governments, business sector and social entrepreneurs met to co-create and discuss innovative solutions to the massive problem of migration and integration. “It was great to meet like-minded people who have similar services or perspectives but in rather different contexts, explains Jimmy Antonsson who represented Mitt Liv in the conference.
At our partner company Duni, Saloni Deva and Marie Davies are Mitt Liv mentors while Vaishali Kharade participated as a mentee in Mitt Livs Chans mentorship programme. Vaishali was supported by Mitt Liv on her way to landing a position at Duni. The three of them got together to discuss their experience in Mitt Livs Chans and what working with the organisation has meant for them.
